Who We Are Our purpose is to improve the performance of physical assets by providing physical asset management as a service. This is done by means of an Asset Care Centre Service or ACC. By optimizing the performance of physical assets, we empower companies to maximize the return on their assets. Entering into long term relationships with our clients, our role is to actively drive asset care and performance improvement initiatives. Ultimately this translates into increased asset performance, better cost control and the containment of risk. Pragma provide efficient and effective enablement of asset management business processes. We provide up-to-date, accurate and useful information about all aspects of companies’ assets. We improve asset performance to enable businesses to operate at their optimum. Pragma has been involved with over 480 different clients over the years. With many of them we have formed long term relationships. We are involved in the Manufacturing and Mining Sectors, Public Sector and in the Facilities and Logistics industries. With an average annual growth of 63% since 1995, and more than 1.2 million assets under our management, Pragma has the credibility and the experience to optimize our client’s physical assets. We are represented around the globe with •Pragma Africa delivering the ACC on the African Continent; •Pragma Brasil delivering the ACC in Brasil and Chile; and •Pragma Products and its Partner network delivering the ACC in Europe, the Middle East and Australia.
Pragma opened its doors in 1990 as a consultancy specialising in pure maintenance. The team soon realised that pure asset maintenance does not ensure a client's return on assets. A fully fledged asset management program was initiated, based on an asset management methodology supported by business processes, best practices and standards. At the same time, Pragma's On Key CMMS was developed into a fully fledged Enterprise Asset Management System, competing globally with similar systems. Since then the organisation has gone from strength to strength, especially over the last decade. For instance, over the last four years turn-over has increased by more than 100% each year.
The main objective is to build a cohesive network of Physical Asset Management services entities.
