About Us

The Oceana Group was incorporated in 1918 and is listed on the JSE. The Group is involved in the fishing and allied services sector and engages in the catching, processing and procurement of marine species including pilchards, sardine, anchovy, redeye herring, lobster, horse mackerel, squid, tuna, hake and other deep-sea species. Products are sold through international and local marketing channels. In addition, Oceana provides extensive cold storage and fruit handling facilities. Oceana operates through various divisions and subsidiary stakeholders and companies.

Industrial Engineering
Lamberts Bay
Requirements: 3-4 year relevant degree; B Eng (Industrial), B.Sc (Industrial), B-Tech or NDip (Industrial), with Industrial Engineering as a major.
Finance
Cape Town
Requirements: 3-4 year relevant degree; BCom (Accounting), B-Tech or NDip (Accounting with Accounting III)
Human Resources
Cape Town
Requirements: 3-4 year relevant degree; BA (Industrial Psychology), B-Tech or NDip (Human Resource Management).
Marketing
Cape Town
Requirements: 3-4 year relevant degree; BCom (Marketing Management), BTech or NDip (Marketing Management)
In addition, to join this established and successful Group and start our career in any of the above positions, the following criteria will apply: • A complete and relevant qualification completed in 2009, 2010 or be completing your qualification in 2011; according to the position you wish to apply for • South African born citizen • Maximum 2 years’ relevant and permanent working experience (not essential) • Driver’s license and preferably own transport • Detail orientation and organisational skills • Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel • Good communication skills.
