gradzone successfully co-hosts a leadership seminar

On the 24th of May, The Key Recruitment Group (which owns and manages gradzone) and The Institute successfully co-hosted a business leadership seminar. This is one of the ways we are providing individuals with the tools to start or develop their careers. Brett Johnson, the founder of The Institute and keynote speaker of the event, spoke about his LEMON Leadership book. This is no ordinary leadership book as it does not seek to box people into one style of leadership, in fact this publication will expand your view of leadership!

Johnson has identified five types of leadership and believes people are usually a combination of at least two.

Luminaries: are thinkers and are full of ideas.

Entrepreneurs: can identify opportunities.

Managers: lead by implementing systems.

Organisers: are task-orientated individuals.

Networkers: like to connect with others and use their contacts.

Good leaders lead out of two or more of the above identities and to find out how to do so you will have to read the book. It can be found in most leading book stores.

Guests at the seminar were treated to a scrumptious spread of food and were hosted in the beautifully restored old Baumanns biscuit factory in Woodstock, Cape Town.
