Tips for a GREAT CV Print E-mail
Why your CV is so important? It Identifies the requirements of the graduate employer.
Generic CV’S are a definite no.
Identify the main selling points and the key competencies that the employer is looking for.
Make sure your CV is consistent all the way through.

Decide on a CV format
-Skills Based CV
-Chronological CV

Structure
Most employers prefer short concise CV’S.
No more than two pages.
Think quality, not quantity.
Keep sentence short and concise.
Avoid using words such as ‘and’,’ the ‘, ‘we’ and ‘I’.
Choose a font style that’s neat and a font size that’s not too small.

Include the following in your CV:
Personal Details
Education and qualifications
Professional Experience
Achievements
Skills
Hobbies and Interest
References

Whatever you do
Don’t make false or exaggerated claims.
Don’t list work experience in the wrong order.
Always put your most recent position first.
Don’t include your required salary.
Negotiate this after you’ve got the job!
Don’t provide personal or irrelevant information or enclose a picture.
Don’t complicate things.
Keep it simple.
