Our Story
We all know that getting into the job market as a fresh graduate is not the easiest of experiences; so with this in mind a group of Stellenbosch University students got together to launch gradzone. Their plan was to create a space where graduates from Universities throughout South Africa could gain access to information and contacts that could not only open up exciting career opportunities but also put them in contact with their employers of choice.
gradzone was officially launched in 2004 and in April 2008 gradzone was acquired by the well-established Key Recruitment Group who saw it as the perfect vessel to fulfil their passion: to see people in careers that manifest their gifting.
We are now building the biggest listing of graduate employers in South Africa - so you know who will employ you as a grad! Also check out our job board which is specifically for graduates.
Meet our Team
Tamsin Collins, on the left, is the newest member of the team. Her BA in Film & Media production from UCT, followed by a PGDM in Marketing has given her a passion for specifically online media and using it to show graduates how to market themselves.

Our Brand Manager, Lindsay Gibson, has been with gradzone from 2009. She started her career with a part time job for an American publishing company, whilst completing her BComm in Marketing & Entrepreneurship. After participating in the graduate training programme offered by the publishing company she spent some time with a luxury lifestyle publication before finding her home at gradzone.
Bet you didn’t know that the part time job she had as a student involved going door-to-door in suburban America?
Heather Johnson is our ray of sunshine! She brings smiles all round through the piles of admin we often have to deal with! Heather has a servant heart which makes her a great pleasure to work with. She is born and bred in Cape Town and she has 6 years of strong admin experience.
As Heather also answers our switchboard - I dare you to call us! We receive daily compliments about Heather’s positive telephone manner.

Our Approach
Each graduate that registers on the gradzone website is able to create an effectively detailed CV in a ready to go PDF format. Each individual fills in several categories of information that includes standard details and also personalised details that are associated with characteristic competencies and functional preferences. The gradzone team is then able to use the information to effectively match graduates to potential employers.
