Comprising a Southern African and Germany-based International division, IMPERIAL Logistics continues to expand organically and through acquisitions both on local and international fronts, while consistently focusing on investing in its people and customers as well as contributing to sustainable communities.
IMPERIAL Logistics’ service delivery comprises fundamental logistics and end-to-end supply chain management solutions to blue chip customers in almost every industry.
IMPERIAL Logistics’ strategy of combining the best available skills and supply chain management specialists with a large and modern resource base of vehicles for transportation, warehousing facilities and best-in-breed IT systems means that it is able to provide customers with the most efficient and cost effective logistics and supply chain management solutions available. Its track record is underpinned by the ability to determine the correct operating model, building the business case and implementing the agreed solutions effectively and timeously.
IMPERIAL Logistics Southern Africa comprises four core divisions supported by a number of services companies:
IMPERIAL Logistics Transport and Warehousing (ILTW)
The division delivers full-spectrum logistics and supply chain services throughout South Africa and southern Africa. Services include line-haul, local distribution, consolidation, warehousing and logistics, 4PL solutions, cross-border transport, logistics and supply chain management solutions.
IMPERIAL Logistics Specialised Freight (ILSF)
Boasting the largest and most modern tanker fleet in the country, this division provides dedicated, specialised bulk transport services to various industries throughout southern Africa. It is the brand leader in the petrochemical industry, with unrivalled expertise in managing HSEQ requirements. In addition, it also provides transport solutions in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry for the delivery of milk and other raw materials shipped in tankers.
IMPERIAL Logistics Consumer Products (ILCP)
Consumer Products provides an integrated supply chain solution to a wide range of FMCG and Retail companies, as well as the agriculture and furniture markets. The division distributes into top-end retail, mid-market trade and smaller retail environments, and also offers express food distribution, selling and merchandising services.
IMPERIAL Logistics Integration Services (ILIS)
Integration Services focuses on business process outsourcing (“BPO”) in the operations management environment including logistics integration, operations planning, procurement, international logistics, security monitoring and asset maintenance services. These service offerings are further enhanced with advanced information technology offerings including supply chain visibility, tailored software solutions and IT infrastructure. Thirdly, the division offers pragmatic consulting and advisory services focused on the design and implementation for strategic, tactical and operational improvements across end-to-end value chains.

Graduate Development Programme
IMPERIAL Logistics has been offering a Graduate Development Programme since 2006. Graduates are recruited annually from tertiary educational institutions in disciplines of Logistics, Financial Management (CIMA) and Industrial Engineering. Graduates are placed within the various Operating Companies and complete a structured internship programme combined with a management development programme.
Our organisation is a preferred employer of choice and has been recognised in the industry for outstanding performances. IMPERIAL Logistics won a Supply Chain Education Excellence Award from SAPICS in June 2009 and received the Ministry of Labour's Good Practice in Skills Development Award in November 2008. We were the only recipient of the Skills Development Award in the Logistics and Supply Chain Sector. Our firm also won the National Logistics Award in 2008.
Bursaries
We offer academic bursaries to students from designated groups, studying towards degrees in the following disciplines:

• Industrial Engineering
• Financial Management (CIMA)
Bursaries are offered from second year onwards.
